What A Week....

Well, it's Friday and we survived! This has been a very long week to say the least. I went back to work full time and Isabel started daycare. And although we are all adjusting to the new schedule, we have had some rough moments. Jason and I are alternating getting up early with Bell in the mornings and he is in charge of dropping her off at daycare and I pick her up. We really like Isabel's school and teachers but she is having trouble getting used to the new schedule. She doesn't nap well when she is there (just a 15 min. afternoon nap the other day) so when she gets home she is VERY crabby. Also, she has a terrible cold which she caught after only 3 days at school. The poor sweetie even vomited before bed tonight...... ugh. On a positive note the teachers all say what a mild-mannered, sweet girl Bell is. They love her big blue eyes and when I came to pick her up the other day she was on the mats playing with another little girl (well... she was grabbing her arm and trying to eat it). When I pick her up from school I hug, squeeze, and kiss her all night until bedtime as I feel guilty being away from her so much. Being a working mother is hard work! There is always something to do (laundry, dinner, grade papers, make bottles etc.) I know we'll get used to it though. Besides..... there are only 150 something school days until summer break...This is a picture from our first family dinner at the kitchen table. (We finally broke out the high chair!)It was nothing fancy but it was fun to sit down together- Reminds of family dinner when I was growing up.
Here is a picture of me with Isabel at her school. She was not really into posing for pictures that morning- much more interested in her monkey. Sadly, she left her monkey on the floor at daycare and I think another girl took it. (I saw her eating it when I picked her up yesterday) I guess I could get it back but I think I'll just buy her a new one.
Zombie baby- Isabel was barely awake when we woke her up at 6:50 to get dressed for her first day of school. She is still waking up for a feeding around 5 am but then wants to go right back to sleep. I always feel bad waking her back up an hour later for school.
Here she is posing with her dad on Monday morning. Jason has been so awesome and helpful this week. Making dinner, folding laundry, and getting up with Bell. Makes me wonder how some women do it on their own.
Sweet girl!
