Harvest Days

The Dwight Harvest Days Festival and parade is quickly becoming a Leppin family tradition. I mean where else can you go and enjoy corn dogs, pork tenderloin sandwiches, and see a parade that features hundreds of basset hounds? Yep. Each year the parade begins with hundreds of basset hound dogs and their owners marching down the street. Many of them are dressed up in costumes or riding on little floats. People come from all over the country to bring their dogs to this parade and they make an entire weekend of it.
So this year was Isabel's first experience with the parade. She seemed pretty interested in the dogs and not too bothered by the 20 or so firetrucks and their loud sirens. Unfortunately about 15 minutes after the parade started it began to pour. We tried to wait it out but we were getting pretty cold and wet. Boooo! It rained on our parade!
