A Night Out... Sort of

This Thursday (Thanksgiving) is my mom's birthday but she is on-call that day so we decided to celebrate with her this past Saturday night. My dad made plans to take us all out to a steak dinner at T-Bones and then to Zanies Comedy Club. We were pretty excited because we haven't been out for an evening in a long time. Also, we have never left Isabel with a non- family member babysitter. My dear friend Rose from work graciously offered to babysit (she just loves Bell!) So we were off and ready for a night on the town!
Unfortunately, about an hour and a half into dinner my cell phone rang. It seems Isabel had dozed off comfortably on Rose's lap only to awaken and begin vomiting exorcist-style all over her. Naturally, we left dinner and came straight home. Now as you may already know... the last few weeks have been pretty rocky at the Leppin house because Isabel has had some king of virus ( lots of puke and vomit... lots of fun) BUT we were convinced that we had gotten past that. I mean, she had been fine for a week. So now, we are heading back to the pediatrician tomorrow to talk about this random, sporadic projectile vomiting. The funny thing is she seems pretty happy once she does it and has no other sick symptoms. We can't connect it to any certain food or behavior.... so it is a mystery. The lesson here is - THERE IS ALWAYS SOMETHING TO WORRY ABOUT when you are a parent.
