Week 30

10 weeks to go!
This week Jason and I start our birthing classes. That should be interesting.
I am not sure what to expect. Mostly I just try not to think about giving birth in general.
I guess our classes are going to force me to face my fears!
When we went in for our 28 week ultrasound the technician told me that our little
angel is breech. So, we'll see if she decides to turn before March 11th.

Is It Really 2009?!

Happy New Year!
Jason and I went to my friend and coworker Julie's house for a pajama party.
We played games, ate, and even let off a few fireworks! We had a great time. However, next year I am planning to enjoy a bottle of wine and hire a babysitter. (Any grandma's interested?)

Merry Christmas!

What a nice Christmas holiday. After the snow finally stopped, we spent Christmas Eve in Dwight with Jason's parents and brother. We went to Christmas Eve service, opened gifts and ate lots of great holiday food. Baby Girl Leppin was spoiled by her family again. Her Grandma and Grandpa Leppin bought her a Pack N' Play so that she can visit them often. Her Uncle Aaron bought her Illini gear and her Arkansas family bought her books and clothes. The next morning we drove back to South Elgin to have Christmas breakfast and gifts with the family. One of our favorite gifts today was a video camera! We can't wait to figure out how to make movies and maybe even post some on our blog someday. This afternoon we saw the movie Marley and Me. I sobbed like a baby. I'm blaming it on the pregnancy hormones.

Week 28- Still Growing

I definitely look and feel bigger each week. However, this Tuesday I see the doctor again and will ask about weight gain. If you follow the books I am not gaining weight according to the "schedule". Oh well, I am certainly doing my part by eating every single thing that is put before me. (Christmas season is a great time to be pregnant!)

Also, when I see the doctor this week I will continue to bug them about doing a second ultrasound. I really want another. It was fascinating to see the first time- and on top of that I am worried our little girl could turn out to be a little boy, in which case I hope he likes pink.

Finally, I will complain about my 24 hour a day, all-consuming heartburn and acid reflux. They have not invented TUMS that are strong enough to quiet my stomach. Oh well, I know there is not much that can be done. It is still nice to complain though!

Snow Day!

It doesn't matter how old you are- it is always exciting when school is cancelled! Jason, Lucky and I went outside this morning with the goal of making a snowman. Too bad the snow was too light and fluffy to pack. We settled for snow angels. Lucky was excited to be out with us but got cold after about 7 minutes. (I think we lasted for ten)

Happy Birthday Jason!

We celebrated Jason's 35th birthday last night! We were happy to get to dinner and back before the snow hit. We ate dinner at Jurin and had ice cream cake and presents back at the house. (Mmmm.. ice cream cake!)

Week 26- Growing....

I am getting bigger! Of course my photographer (Jason) took the picture from where he was comfortably sitting on the couch so I look even larger (Thanks honey!)

It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas

This week we realized Christmas is just a few weeks away! Oops- Guess we better start shopping, decorating etc.
Jason, Lucky and I set up the tree. Too bad we don't have more room at our place for it. Also, Mandy and Zack came over and us girls
attempted to make sugar cookies. I say attempted because every time we tried to roll out the dough It stuck to the counter, rolling pin etc.
(They look better than they taste.)
